In 1983, Evan Indianer founded ICC to provide applications to the insurance industry. Over the years, ICC provided technology solutions to over a thousand customers, developing a concentration of expertise in technology for healthcare, human services, and government agencies. In 2001, Unicentric was created to focus solely on this market and its flagship product - the Service Xpert System.
Unicentric is located in Pittsburgh's Strip District and is collocated with ICC, continuing to leverage ICC's 20 years of experience in providing superior technology solutions.
Unicentric takes a partnership approach to building and servicing its solutions. The Service Management System was built to accommodate the needs of a diverse set of health and human services organizations. We combine the ease of installation of an off-the-shelf system with the flexibility of a custom application.
Rather than asking our customers to change their operational processes to fit into the system, we took a different approach. Unicentric leverages 20 years of custom software experience of its parent, ICC, to offer a platform and features with the greatest amount of adaptability while keeping customization costs relatively low.
We follow a build-to-suit model, so that the system is adapted to support your 'best practices', the business processes that make your services unique and good. We customize modules to support your specific programs and activities. We developed a proprietary set of tools, called the FormMakerTM and ReportMakerTM that allow us to customize modules (forms, reports and workflow) at a fraction of the cost of a traditional systems integrator or custom software provider. This tools set has allowed us to lower the cost of customization to the point where we can offer ongoing changes to the system as part of our service package. You can feel comfortable that when regulations change, grants are received, or the board of directors asks for changes to reports, the system will adapt to the new requirements and won't require a new investment.
